Bascomb is the chauffeur hired by Richie Rich's family in the Harvey Comics series, as well as in the Hanna-Barbera animated series. He very rarely appeared in the animated series, known to have appeared only four times, including three speaking roles in the animated series, plus one non-speaking cameo. Three of his appearances were from Season 1, while his other appearance was in Season 4, on the last produced segment of the series. The actor who lent his voice is unknown.
In a 2-page text article published by Harvey Comics in the mid-1970s, "The Second Richie Rich Trivia Quiz", readers were interested to find out what Bascomb's last name is. It was revealed that Bascomb is his last name, so his real first name remains a mystery to this day.
