Fred and Barney Meet the Shmoo is an expansion of Fred and Barney Meet the Thing, with the addition of reruns of The New Shmoo.
Fred Flintstone, Barney Rubble and the Shmoo would later work as part-time police officers in "The Bedrock Cops", a segment of The Flintstone Comedy Show (1980).
