Professor Keenbean is the head of the Rich Laboratories in the Richie Rich comic book and Hanna-Barbera cartoon series. In the animated series, he is voiced by William Callaway, who speaks with a stuttering voice. It could also be implied that Keenbean sometimes tends to be clumsy, but not as much as Clumsy Smurf, who is also voiced by Callaway.
Although some of his inventions fail, many of them succeed. Many of his inventions are useful whenever Richie is in trouble. In one episode, Keenbean invented some invisible paint that would help Richie try to foil an act of organized crime. Keenbean also serves as Richie's personal tutor and Irona's maintenance man.
