The ghost of Captain Cutler appears in "A Clue for Scooby-Doo", an episode of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!. The "ghost" actually was Captain Cutler, who faked his own death in order to steal yachts around Rocky Point Beach.
Captain Cutler was dressed in a light green deep sea diving suit that was covered in a type of glowing seaweed found only around the Graveyard of Ships.
Powers and abilities
While wearing the seaweed-covered diving suit, Captain Cutler left glowing footprints wherever he went.
As the story went, during one dark, foggy night, Captain Cutler collided with a yacht, following his ship down to the ocean floor. After a while, he began to haunt Rocky Point Beach, to take his revenge to the yachts at the marina by making them disappear.

It was later revealed that he was still alive and he and his wife faked his death so that they would steal the yachts and sell them. He was trapped unintentionally by Scooby-Doo after Mystery Inc.'s trap went wrong, and identified by Shaggy Rogers after putting seaweed on Cutler to help his friends recognize who the "ghost" really was.
