Barney unmasked (Jeepers, It's the Jaguaro!)

The Jaguaro is the villain in "Jeepers! It's the Jaguaro", an episode of The Scooby-Doo Show. This half-ape/half-sabertooth tiger creature is worshipped by a tribe of Amazonian natives on their sacred island. It was used as a disguise by Barney to hide his diamond mining operation in the Brazilian jungle.

Physical appearance

The Jaguaro is a large creature with the body of a brown ape and the head of a black sabertooth tiger.

Powers and abilities

The Jaguaro was very strong, as shown when he ripped apart the bridge holding Shaggy Rogers and Scooby-Doo.

Scooby-Doo and the gang were on a plane trip when a malfunction forced the pilot to make an emergency landing in the Brazilian jungle. The statue of the Jaguaro came to life and chased Shaggy and Scooby. After a chase, the Jaguaro fell over a waterfall. His costume came off and the Jaguaro was trapped. The Jaguaro was then revealed to be Barney, who was using the plane to smuggle the diamonds out of Brazil.

Other versions

In Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase, the Jaguaro was a tenth-level boss along with the Creeper, Gator Ghoul, Tar Monster and Old Iron Face. He chased the two Scoobys until being knocked off the log flume.
