Matthew Lyn Lillard (born 24 January 1970, Lansing, Michigan) is an American actor. He played Shaggy Rogers in Scooby-Doo and Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, the two most recent of his five films with Freddie Prinze, Jr. Lillard is also the current voice of the animated Shaggy, as of 2010.
Biography[]
Lillard lived with his family in Tustin, California, from first grade to high school graduation. The summer after high school, he was hired as an extra for Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go to College (1991). Lillard was the presenter of the Nickelodeon program SK8 TV in 1989. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasedena, California. Along with a friend, Lillard started the Mean Street Ensemble theater company that functioned until 1991, when he moved to New York to attend the theater school Circle in the Square.
