Robot Bug Guards is a "Richie Rich Gems" segment on the Richie Rich animated series during the third season. It first aired 30 October 1982.
Summary[]
Two bees (one of them named Floyd) were plotting to invade a picnic Richie and Gloria were enjoying, but then learn that a swarm of robot bug guards, supposedly Richie's idea, scared the bees away.
Trivia[]
- Neither Richie nor Gloria speaks in this segment.
- It is believed that Floyd's sidekick is voiced by Frank Welker, who sounds much like Glomer from the Ruby-Spears production It's Punky Brewster.
- This was adapted from a one-page story recently reprinted in Richie Rich and Gloria #22 at the time of the segment's production. The comic book version involved Cadbury, who was absent from this segment.
