Skip is affable, yet slightly absent-minded. He seems extremely close to Fred; they have a warm yet elaborate "high five" greeting ritual, more in the vein of two frat brothers greeting each other than as a father and son. Skip is also very devoted to his wife, Peggy. He is extremely easy-going, but appears to have a short attention span.
- Skip has a poor sense of direction. Fred recalls that his father has trouble even finding his own bathroom.
- Skip compliments his son on the elaborate ghost trap Fred constructs, hinting that building ghost traps is a family tradition.
