Superfriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show was the second-last series in the Superfriends franchise, and the first to feature Firestorm and Darkseid. This was the last series to use the original Alex Toth character designs.
Besides introducing Firestorm and Darkseid, this series started to give important duties to its "ethnic" heroes: Black Vulcan, El Dorado, Samurai and Apache Chief.
Eight half-hour episodes were produced, each consisting of two stories.
